Welcome to the Tuesday Nite Nerds Website

If you are already a member of our great group of adult couples and singles, then you already know why you are there and why you stay.

If you are new to us, or are curious, here's the scoop.

The Nerds were initially formed by a group of 6 couples from Calgary Alberta, who wanted to go out and explore the World of Warcraft each Tuesday Night, without having to worry whether we made a mistake or got the group killed. We wanted to explore the world, at our pace, and in our way with no pressure. We wanted to be free to laugh at what we thought was funny, and not worry about saying something that was inappropriate to the younger folk. That being said, we wanted to avoid the use of profanity at all costs, as we felt as adults, we could come up with a 'better' way of expressing ourselves.

As we continued on, and grew in levels, we slowly found a few additional couples and singles, who joined us and the enjoyment increased. Recognizing that there were many adults with the same thoughts, our ranks grew slowly, but surely.

RESPECT and COMRADERY are our main considerations in the guild. We have tried to build something where both husband and wife, strong and weak, regardless of skill level, will feel like they are part of the whole, and enjoy the experience.

Below you will find our Guild Policies. If you meet our requirements (and they are few), and are still interested, please give a Nerd a Whisper next time you are online. Find out what they think, and if we are for you, let them know. They will put you in contact with a recruiter.

Oh, and if you want to chat a bit about the nerds, keep an eye out for Annimend and Svorutia. Next to me, the 2 biggest nerds in the guild... good people... good laffs.... (and if you ask nicely, maybe Anni will do her Succubus immitation for you on VENT.... HOT!!!!!!)

Guild Policies

TUESDAY NITE NERDS POLICIES:

Our guild policies are few and hopefully very straightforward.

You are over the age of 21 and can act at least 30.
While we are mature in the sense of years, we are young at heart. Keep that in mind with some of what you see in the chat window.
You are able to avoid the use of PROFANITIES in Guild Chat
You are not offended by suggestive chat. While not perverse, its not always puritanical.
You don't mind pitching in and helping on occasion.
You can both give and take a joke. We sometimes, playfully, ride each other.
You can avoid internal politics. We hate politics. We despise internal politics....
Refer to the above policy one more time. We are a drama free guild, and we will stay that way.

Our raid policies include all of the previously stated guild policies and a few other raid specific rules.

There is no yelling, inflammatory language, or otherwise inappropriate comments on vent, ever.
If you do have an outburst, you will be warned only a couple times before you will no longer be invited to our raids. We have very little patience for immaturity.
Looting is handled by the Suicide Kings distribution system.
Phat Lewtz is NOT the focus of TNN raiding, therefore it should not be your focus either.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to raid start time, at the very least ready for summons.
Come to raids in good spirits and ready to have fun. Leave your baggage at home, we are all here to enjoy ourselves.

Nerds and Raiding

NERDS and RAIDING - What does it take to become a NERD RAIDER??

The Tuesday Nite Nerds was formed as and will always be a guild with a casual atmosphere. That being said, we have met many great people who are Nerds at Heart, but are a bit more hardcore. To that end, we created two RANKS, SERIOUS NERDS and CASUAL NERDS. Once you attain the 80th level, you will be assigned SPANKY NERD, until you have chosen to go either SERIOUS or CASUAL. The SERIOUS NERDS are where the more hardcore progressive type NERDS will go, where as the CASUAL NERDS are for those with little interest in raiding. This is not to say they don't mix. They do. SERIOUS NERDS will have expectations regarding gearing themselves up etc for the progressive raids that the casual raider will not.

The NERD RAID LEADERS are the recruiters for the SERIOUS NERDS. They will recruit from within the guild (and occassionally externally) for permanent members. Their role is to fill the requirements needed for a given team to be able to succeed at an end game instance, namely the Icecrown Citadel.

Should they feel they need to recruit externally, their candidate must first succeed at a Standard Nerd Interview. The SERIOUS NERDS goals will never trump the GUILDS goals.

As stated above SERIOUS NERDS will have specific requirements that must be met in order to qualify for a SERIOUS NERD position, and a certain commitment level on the part of the player. To become a SERIOUS NERD may mean that you have to respec your toon to fit the raid composition needs. It will mean dedicating a minimum of 3 to 4 hours at least twice a week to execute the raid. It will mean assisting in farming duties for raid required items. And above all else, they must continue to be a NERD, act like one, and participate in normal guild activities.

Above all else, our guild will be dedicated to friendship and comradery and enjoying each other. This goal will never be compromised.
